Dining Idioms

Same or Different
This is a pair activity to practice vocabulary comprehension. One partner reads the sentence first, which is like a definition. Then the other partner reads the word. Finally, decide if the sentence and the word are a match. The print includes a blank template for teachers to insert their own vocabulary.

Antonym Pairs
I use these antonym cards to teach opposites and to put students into randoms pairs. I cut up the cards and distribute one to each student. Students must then mingle and find the student with the opposite word card. They must be careful that the part of speech also matches. This activity is a good set up for pair work.
