The question "What is she like?" can mean "What does she look like?" and/or "What is her character/personality like?", but students may give such answers as "She likes spaghetti." or "She likes dancing." Mini Book 2: In the Attic in colour and greyscale
The success of this story depends a lot on how it is told. Good use of intonation, pausing at the right time, emphasising the new information, putting fear into your voice when calling for "Dad" and receiving or giving a hug (if appropriate) at the end of the story. These simple stories read aloud are excellent for students to practise their own st...

Yy Picture Covers: An exercise in phonics with answer key and cumulative notes.
It was difficult to come up with vocabulary for this one, so it has a few nonsense words. It also has "Yank tank", which is Southern Hemisphere English, that speaks of old, solid, American cars. The chant is /y/, /y/. A yo-yo. (x2). While pretending to play with, or actually playing with, a yo-yo.

Adverbs of Degree 2 multi-choice worksheet with answer keys
Even native speakers can get by with a relatively small number of adverbs when speaking, but a large number of them is necessary when it comes to reading and writing. They can also be a lot of fun to learn.
Another one of my "Adverbs of Degree" worksheets can be found here:

InTense Board Game activity cards 1-12 of 36
I uploaded these yesterday but there was some problem so Im trying again. Roll the die and change the pronoun and tense and form a sentence. My friend caught a huge fish. The tiger is catching fish today. Every single sentence that your students utter has the chance of being unique and that is how it should be unless one is stuck in repeat, repeat...

Christmas Loopcards 2 (expanded and re-uploaded)
It is a domino type game except that the children must form a loop with the cards. You can print out a few sets and have children race to see which team wins first. If I do during a Christmas party, then I reward the children with chocolates. The original (re-uploaded) cards were designed for nonreaders and of course can be used in any language, th...
