I am now, after more than 5 decades in the work force, officially semi-retired. New hobby: gardening. Old hobby restarting: table tennis. I still have some classes to teach and materials to design, many of which I will continue to share with the dear members of ESLPs. You may come across my materials on Facebook and my blog.

New Alphabet Tracks: letter m in full color, black and white and blank.
3 different tracks uploaded today so have reach the halfway mark. Maybe I should crack open a bootle of wine. Hopefully I will find time tomorrow to more. I would not like to stop now in the middle. Thanks to all of you who daily leave comments, it is encouraging. I love doing a series of materials, but we do need staying power. More informatio...

Phonic Alphabet Circle with instructions
A few teachers are downloading my early learning resources, so I will continue for a little while to upload more at this easy starter level. The cards can be used individually, cooperatively or competitively. The creative teacher will easily think of other fun ways to use these cards. That is an X-ray fish in there. Have fun in class.

Read! Spell! Do! playing cards (an extra 30 cards) Adverbs and Adjectives 5
Notice the change in the Spell cards which can take on the endings ier and iest. I ran out of suitable single syllable adjectives. You will need the playing board, which is here: http://www.eslprintables.com/printable.asp?id=463371#this#. The cards can be used independently of the board. Print 2 sets and play matching games, have reading races, m...

What is big?: pictionaries, 2 versions with and without words. Instructions inside.
Whether something is big or little is relative and most of the teaching materials available do not show this relativity but this work does. Look out for the little pictionary which is here http://www.eslprintables.com/printable.asp?id=567220#thetop and the big little bingo which is coming in a day or so. This worksheet complements my earlier work...

Through the Window in colour and greyscale with key
There are many good worksheets for practising There is and There are and describing a room on this website so I have worked long and hard on this worksheet to create something different to everyone else. The picture is one of a kind which has been redesigned several times. Have the students practice orally before doing the written exercise, whi...

3 pages of Phonic Fun with sh: worksheet, story and key (#7)
Hi, See my account for other worksheets in this series. I mix sentence fragments with grammatically correct sentences as fragments are often easier for beginners to understand. If you wish to edit the "word bank" out, open the document, copy the file, paste into MSPaint and erase the word bank. There will be many worksheets in the series. Chil...

Nn Picture Covers: An exercise in phonics with answer key and cumulative notes.
The chant is: /Nnn/, /nnn/. So noisy. (x 2) Which is shouted out while covering your ears with your hands. I always had fun with this one, when all the students were shouting in unison.

It often surprises me how poor some of my students geography is. "Show me Brazil." and the point to Africa. If you want to be an international person, you must do geography. I have also created backs which I will upload soon. If you see any major errors like a wrong flag or something then please let me know. Sorry that I can´t get everone´s co...

Countable Uncountable and Containers flash cards 19-24 of many.
Have you ever taught countables and uncountables in English only and then tried showing students how we can move from uncountable to countable using containers and then numbers (noun-adjectives)? These will help students distinguish between How much? and How many?
