Welcome to
ESL Printables,
the website where English Language teachers exchange resources:
worksheets, lesson plans, activities, etc.
Our collection is growing every day with the help of many teachers. If
you want to download you have to send your own contributions.
What Julietha stated is totally true. I have to thank many things to this site. It has helped me not only academically but personally. In regards to the academic field, I have learnt sooooooooooooooooooooo much and I have created worksheets that I have never imagined I could be able to do them. I have learnt a lot about cliparts license and plagiarism. I had the opportunity to exchange postcards with Victoria ladybug. And it was the best experience I have ever had. It was a great experience not only for me but for my students. In regards to the personal field, I have made many real friends and that relationship has grown through the time. It does not matter the distance I feel them so close in my heart. But to be honest, the fist place, I checked in the past ,was esl printables. But, nowadays, The first place I checked is Facebook. And not because it is a social network, it is because I find my friends from esl printables there. They send me messages and I sent messages to them. We are in touch every single day.
Esl printables has lost something. So we all are in charge to recover it if we really want to keep it.
I wonder y you teachers don t want to spend some more hours to draw your own cliparts or spend some money to buy the pictures you ll use for your contributions to the site!
You should also write all the texts and examples yourselves or ask for a permission from the authors of every source of news or online materials!
Nika and lomasbello , I fully agree with every single word you ve just said.
AsJulietasaid :There are
more important things than a bunch of copied sentences.... like friendship, helpfulness, love, respect and the existence of a site where we all feel like a community... that community
is no longer in existence, I do not see it, I do not recognize it.
Dear emulator, I do not think we HAVE time to draw our own cliparts and me personally have spent money to buy pictures asa well as material.I have written examples and other things myself ,as I am sure many of us have, and we have asked for permissions or paid the subscriptions needed to use the sites, so do not be so ubrupt.Maybe you are young, new in the field and with no obligations to limit your time.
Sorry to say but I guess most of the teachers who open an account here come in search of worksheets to improve their students s learning. Since we are all teachers, it is our nature to help, as we do with our students. But keeping ESL P. as a respectful site of ESL resources is also important, remember we are here primarily for professional reasons and if we make friends it s a consequence that happens in every environment where we deal with many people.
If Victor were willing to have a friendship community only, he wouldn t create a moderators staff to keep the site away from copies. There s the pleasure, but there s also the work. We have friends here, but we are also here to share our work in a serious manner. If the community wants to be turned into a big "teacher s cafe" the moderators won t be necessary anymore.
Hi Victor It s me, Linda, just to let you know I am deeply shocked.
You have just broken your own rules.
How do you want people around to follow whatever you say?
How about all this long mess about stealing printables from this site s members?
How can you post a "copyright " label in things you don t know if ...
I think I ll have to delete most of my printables, I have lots of pictures taken from everywhere, but it doesn t matter for me. There is a very world wide web around. This is not the end of the world.
What are you going to do next?
What can you ask me to do and help if you keep changing rules.
How do I know what is right and what is wrong?
I am mad with this!
Please, state what you want and state it clearly. Next I can read your rules and decide if I want to be a member of this site.
Zailda, in my humble opinion, I think you are so close. I did not mean that I want to be turned into a big "teacher s cafe" . That is not the topic. I started my post saying that I had many academically things to thank to this site. But, the other part, it is important, too. It is supposed we are the ones in charge of modelling human minds and when we get in a classroom we have a goal. To teach our knowledge, but we all know that if students do not like us or they start spoiling our class, we try to find strategies to become their friends without losing the discipline and respect. That s what I meant. Why dont we go to the point that is causing all this trouble? Are all we convinced we are right? True is relative. We dont own the truth.

We must never forget the reason I made the rules for.
The rule "three strikes and you are out" was made to get rid of users who kept sending copies and more copies, and nothing else.
It was not intended to get rid of helpful friendly teachers who have worked a lot for this community.
The number three is for the machine, for the automatic process. But after that, I can review the case, and undo what the machine has done. Because the machine doesn t know if the user has uploaded the worksheets with the consent of the webmaster, it doesn t know how much the user has done for this website, etc.
If you need clear rules, there is no rule that says that the account must be removed. I just explained that after three copies the accounts will be automatically cancelled. That is not a rule, it is an automatic process that can be reviewed by me afterwards.
The rules are our rules. Their purpose is to help us, not to kill us.
Sorry, lomasbelo, I didn t refer to your post, I was answering the previous post, from anaisabel.
I respect your opinion about me, you don t know me but you have the right to think you do. As you said, your opinion is also relative, and I do respect it.
But I disn t base my report on relative things. I provided a link. The links were not relative, they showed clearly the wss were copies. And copies are to be removed, or has it changed?
BTW, people who say I reported it out of whatever are only guessing, because they don t know my real reasons for sure, so they can t state it as real. That s what they imagine, based on what they want to be true. Or they prefer to divide the site into bad and good guys, their friend is part of the first and the bad moderator who reported her copies is the bad guy who wants to destroy the friendship among members.
But even if I am as close as you guessed, it isn t against the rules, is it? Uploading copied material is.
